WELLINGTON, March 13. At an athletic electric light sports cycling meeting, Grose (Canterbury) was beaten by T. Oakley (Masterton) by half a length in the 5-mile Wellington championship. Time, 13min 13 2-5. sec. R. A. Rose won the mile in Amin 25sec., equal to Savidan’s time at the New Zealand championship. < Miss Mantan ran 120 yards in 14 2-5 sec—the fastest time recorded for the A distance by a lady in New Zealand. The attendance numbered 4000.
