The Ven. Archdeacon Creed- Meredith joined the -south express at Hawera this morning, en route to Wanganui.
Mr P. O. Veale will leave Hawera to-morrow for the. purpose of attending the Wairarapa Rifle Association -meeting at Greytown on Monday and Tuesday next. He will then proceed to Trentham to the National Rifle Association meeting, to commence on Thursday. .
Mr H. J. Johnston, health inspector, was a recent visitor to Hawera: He stayed at the White Hart Hotel, and left this morning for Palmerston North.
