MoL’DOWIE CUP. EI/FHAM THE WINNER, After an interesting match yesterday on the Hawera lawns, Eltham; won the iMc-L’Dowie Cup. heating Stratford 1 Avon by three points in the final. Much enthusiasm has been shown, and the competition is doing much good to the game. The match was very close, and had Stratford Avon, pegged out before the 'j.st lioop was made by Eltham the. score would have been 47 all, necessitating a. further match. Mrs MoL’Dowie made the presentation of the cup. Mrs Bi.lton. vicepresident of the Hawera Club, also spoke. CAMPBELL CUP. FIN. A LSI TO-DAY. The postponed match to decide the possession of the Campbell Cup was played to-day. beginning in the morning. The finalists were Eltham (1) and Haweral (1), and the conditions best tw-o out of three on the big lawn.
