McL’DOWIE CUP. TO-DAY’S PLAY. The postponed matches to decide the finalists in the McL’Dowie Cup tourney were begun this morning. The weather was fine in the early part of the day, but showery in the beginning of the afternoon. In the second round one match remained to play, Eltham (1) 33 beating Manaia 24. In the third round Stratford (Avon) 38 beat Patoa .18, and Eltham (1) 40 beat Hawera (1) 30. Stratford (Avon) play Eltham (1) in the final this afternoon. The conditions are: One match only. ... , ... CAMPBELL CUP. To-morrow morning Eltham moot Hawera (1, A grade teams, in the finals for the Campbell Cup. Conditions: . Two matches out of three, on big lawns.
