SCHjOOL SPORTS EGMONT COUNTY COMPETITION., (From Our Own Correspondent.) The annual sports competition between members of the various schools situated within the Egmont County for a shield were held at Opunake yesterday in dull though favourable weather. A large crowd of spectators were present and keen interest in the events was evinced. The lengthy programme was got through in a most expeditious manner, reflecting great credit on the officials concerned, who had gone to a considerable amount of trouble to make the meeting a j success. The final result was that the Opunake School won the shield and Oaonui the .junior competition.
