Dr. Reisner, the American Egyptologist, invited a party including Osman Moharrcm, Minister of Public Works, to attend the opening of the sarcophagus discovered at Gizeh in 1925. It. was believed to contain the mummy of Queen Hctepheres, mother of Cheops, but when the top of the tomb was raised it was found to. be empty.
