BOYS’ CLUB ATHLETICS

BONE CUP COMPETITIONS. EVENING MEETING ARRANGED. At a meeting of the executive of the Hawera Boys’ Club Association, held on Wednesday night, it was decided to hold, with t-lie las si stance- qf the athletic club -an Electric Light C'a-rni-cal on Wednesday, March 16, to- enable the Bono Cup -competitions to be run off. The cup was donated by Mr. L. A. Bone- for competition between the Boys’ Clubs of the district. This year's entrants .are -the Methodist Club, the Central Red Triangle Club, and the St. Mary’s Club. The competition consists qf -running cycling, and field events-. Owing to the meeting being held at night- it was deckled to run the field events off at- five o-’clock on Friday next.

There will -be several open events under N.Z.A.A.A. rules, and it is expected that -some -good outside -and local performers will be competing in these events. ■■“•■ -g
