ACCIDENTS DUFJ TO MOTORS. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. I GISBORNE, March. 1. "The executive would point out that with the ever increasing number of motor reels being introduced into the service, and the enormous amount of motor traffic generally, and -accident hazards n-atui ally becoming greater, it behoves all brigades to exercise the greatest caution at all times for the safety and welfare of members.” Thu statement prefaced the report of the accident -society of the Fire Brigades’ Association which pointed out the heavy increase in accident claims last year, the -result being that the credit balance was reduced by £B7, A remit urging increasing -the accident benefits to £3 a week was defeated, it being pointed out that the alteration was unwise in view of the incre-ased risks duo to the advent of the motor.
