The Greek steamer S-tenies struck a rock off Land’s End in stormy weather and sank in ten minutes. The third engineer, who was picked up when clinging to a life boat, says the crew launched a lifeboat, but it capsized. All except himself and -a fireman were immediately drowned. The fireman later relaxed his hold. The engineer was rescued by a fishing smack after many hours in the water during darkness
