CARS COLLIDE.

ACCIDENT NEAR ELTHAM. The Mountain Road, about half a mile north of Eltham, was the scene of a motor collision shortly before noon to-day, as a result of which .the two vehicles engaged were extensively damaged, though, fortunately, no personal injury was sustained by the drivers. A car belonging to the Taranaki Electric Power Board, while being driven by Mr G. Prentice from the direction of Strafford, swerved to pass a stationary vehicle. It came into collision with a private car being driven in the opposite' direction by Miss E. Wood, of Bawliitiroa. The Power Board’s car was almost a complete wreck after the impact. Both vehicles had to be conveyed from the scene of the accident.
