A disastrous fir© swept the business premises at Rangataua early this morning, destroying seven shops and the town hall. The shops were:—Grocery and drapery store, occupied by Mr A. Mini fie : billiard room and barber shop, occupied bv Mr J. Cunningham and G. Boussell; boot shop, occupied by Mr Scott; confectionery, occupied by Mr F. Palmer: bookseller’s .shop, occupied by Mr C.
