REFUSED TO STRIKERS. BY CABLfi —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 11.20 a.m. to-day. BRISBANE, Feb. 18. Replying to a deputation from the Trades and Labour Council, which asked him to restore the sustenance allowance to unemployed unionists, the Premier (the Hon. W. McCormack) said tliat the Government definitely refused sustenance to any worker connected with the 40 hours’ week strike in the building trade. He added that the strikers: apparently expected the Government to continue the strike by feeding the people who caused it.
