ASSAULTED A. POLICEMAN. (BV TEIjEQBAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON; Is'.. Feb. IS. At the police- Court this morning, Albert George Windsor, Frederick Joseph Windsor, and Lawrence Egrnont Windsor were charged with breaking and entering the O't-aki Dairy Company .«s premises taintl -stealing stamps valued at £l, also the Pahiatua railway station and stealing goods valued at £2O. also the Levin railway station and stealing bank notes, etc., valued at- £l2O, aiso at Palmerston North to-day, with assault on a, police- constable, and with escaping from cu-stody. . The -police stated that this morning the accused -assaulted the- constable, wlio was giving them breakfa-st -and escaped.l from custody, but were- recaptured. • , All three were sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment for escaping from custody. Frederick -and La-w-rence Windsor to two months’ imprisonment for assault on the- constable. The charge against Albert Windsor va-s withdrawn. The hearing of the other chargee are proceeding.
