HOTEL GUESTS ROBBED.

GASH STOLEN FROM CLOTHES Two complaints of having had their money istoiei} from their clothe® virile asleep were received this morning by the Havera Police from guests at a local hotel. Ohe was in respect of a sum' of £2l and- other of £2. The two lodgers were staying in town overnight and occupied adjacent single rooms. One was engaged _in writing in his room until after midnight and up to time of 'retiring heard nothing. The money was .stolen from their clothes. The amounts were all in notes.

It is a significant fact that a sleeper in another hotel was awakened at about three o’clock this morning by the so-und of someone prowling around. On the light being switched on the person appea red to make a hurried departure.
