A man named George Maurice Langley Ryan shot linnsc.lt through the l heart on the'verandah or his father-in-law, Mr Augustus Allwood. At the inquest it was statea that therei had been matrimonial dff-fei-3'iices, culminating .in a maintenance order being made; against Ryan yesterday. Apparently under the influence of drink, he called about 2.30 this morning at. Allwood’s house, where, his wife was living. All wood stated that Ryan had an automatic pistol in his hand, and therefore, declined to admit him. Ryan went away and a moment later a shot was heard and he was found on the verandah wounded through th ft heart, death taking place before the doctor arrived. The inquest was adjourned.
