ACROSS THE ATLANTIC.

NEW FOX-TROT SENT BY WIRELESS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGH I LONDON, Feb. 10. Before an interested audience in London, Jack Hylton took down by wireless telephony from New York a fox-trot., “ Shepherd of the Hills,” which Horatio Nicholls composed en route„to America. Hylton, while writing it down note for note, suddenly shouted, ‘.‘We would get on better if you sang it," which was successful until the telephoner cracked on the high note. After that Mrs Hylton, who is visiting New York, sang the air, which Hylton repeated. The operation was completed in twenty minutes at a cost of £IOO.

Hylton prepared the fox-trot for an orchestra, and his band played it at the Alhambra Theatre within four hours.
