HLRCtnON OF OFFICERS. (BY telegraph—press association.) PALMERSTON N., Feb. 10. The municipal conference ended today. It was decided to meet next year at Nelson, Air. Lock, Mayor of that city, automatically becoming president. The vice-presidents wore the mayors of the four centres and the Mayor of Palmerston North. The executive consisted of the Mayors of Dannevirke. Grey moil th, Wanganui, Invercargill, Timaru, Upper Hutt. Nemwiarket and chairman of the Johnsonville and New Lynn Town Boards. By a majority decision, the conference decided not to take up the appeal of the Cambridge Borough Council against the decision of the full; Supreme Court, holding that convent schools were exempt from rates.
