Received 9.40 -a.m. to-day. PARIS, Feb. 8. A court martial will be held at Mequinez, Morocco, to-morrow and will try a German named Kleins, who was Abd el Krim’-s gunnery expert, for treason and desertion. Kleins, who was a corporal- iu the Foreign Legion, deserted to the Rift’s before operations commenced, and became! Abd el Krim s secretary and chauffeur. He actively participated in the organisation of the Riff fighting line, instructed the gunners, raided French posts, and carried off arms and ammunition. He was finally captured in an ambush specially laid by a French intelligence officer.
