Taranaki Oilfields. Ltd.. reports: Wniarm No. 2—Well drilled to 190 feet in blue shale, 15-inch casing down to 1.74 feet; well making about 10 gallons of fresh water per hour. Tnmnaki No. 3 well—Transport of equipment and coal making good progress : erection of rig in hand. The Hawera High School opened for tlm current veni’L work to-day with a roll number of 275. This is from 70 to 100 pupils more than last year.
