FIRE BRIGADE COMPETITIONS
(From Our Own Correspodent.) The Eltham Fire Brigade held its annual competition events at Taumata Park on. Thursday afternoon. Each was keenly contested by large fields-, the. majority of members taking part. Following are the results: Two Men Coupling (two gold medals). —Davey and Neos, 1; Lilian and L. Cooper, 2; Page and Little, 3. Time, 40sec. . Gilbert Memorial (Superintendent Nuttall’s gold medal and the brigade championship).—L. Cooper (3sec),. 1 ; T. Julian (2sec), 2j,L. Nees. (scr), 3. Time, Imin 13 2-ssec. Gres swell Cup and gold medal.— Julian Msec) and Phillpotts (6sec) tied for'first place; A. Cooper (scr), 3. Time, 48 2-ssec.
