ITALY SUPPORTS BRITAIN’S ACTION. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 12.15 p.m. to-day. ROME, Feb. 6. The Italian note to Britain has been drawn up. It agrees to join Britain in defence of the concession of Shanghai, if necessary, although political circles are convinced that Anglo-Italmn action must be limited to police measures. The newspapers adopt a- warlike attitude, the Impero declaring that Britain has chosen the right argument, namely, the cannon, which Italy' must imitate, to extinguish Chinese anarchy wild brigands masked as Nationalists. N.Z. LABOUR PARTY’S MESSAGE TO MR. CHEN. (by TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.J WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. The see ratary of the New Zealand Labour Party, Mr Nash, lias sent the fo lowing message after consultation with the national organisations of labour:—“To Mir Engerae Chen, Foreign Minister, Hankow —The New Zealand Labour movement endorses the British Labour Party’s policy, and urges you to employ every means to complete, ail amicable- setUement by negotiation.”
