The .second day of the Gisborne facing Club’s summer meeting was held in ideal weather before a large attendance. The course was very lasi;. The total isator investments for the day were £13,640. as compared with £14,827 for the second day of last year, a decrease of £llß2. At a meeting of the .stewards after the race P. Mcllroy, 'rider of Ngawati, was suspended* fur a week for interfering with Pita, 'and Pita was placed second and Ngawati third. Time, 1.14 2-5.

Octembrc, 7.2 1 Night Heron, 7.11 2 Cherry Ripe, 7.2 3 Cherry Ripe led into the straight from Oetcmbre, who finished fast and won by two lengths, with Cherry Ripe half a length away third.
