UNFRIENDLY ALIENS.

ADMISSION TO BRITAIN SHOULD BE CONTROLLED. •6 i JAHLUJ ASC'UC-i.A.JLi-UDi aiuii. * LONDON, Ebb. 4. Sir \Y. Joyn.son Hicks (Sewetary for Home Affairs), -au-dre-s-sing -Ins constituents iab Twickenham, said the Government entirely sympathised with li-is view that facilities must not be given to aliens to enter Great Britain and indulge in .illegal and unconstitutional movements. Two persons connected with the Amsterdam Internationale tried to enter in June, 1926, but the Home Office learned that they had tried t-o hold up British shipping during a strike, therefore they were not allowed to enter. Other applications to enter came from people trying to divert the legitimate trade union movement to illegitimate channels. ‘I often wonder if Russia's object in keeping a trade delegation in Britain is a camouflage for hostile aims.’'
