At the monthly meeting of the Hawera County Council to-day the county ranger was instructed to pat* particular attention to cases arising out of the use of the Main South Hoad near the Ha went school by travelling stock. The instruction arose as the result ot the action of the clerk (Mr. «i. W. Harding) in calling attention to damage recently caused to tarring work on the footpath. Mr. Harding said that, as a result, it had been found necessary to give an additional coating of tar on the footpath between the school and Princes Street. It Ay as uncertain whether the damage was due to through stock making use of the road, or to cattle belonging to the neighbourhood. In any case, through stock should not be taking that route, while locally driven stock should he kept oil the footway. Particular coolts specify SharlancTs Table Vinegar. Rich, piquant and free from mineral acids. In bottle or bulk. Accept no other. J
