(By Limited). There was very little galloping on the course this morning, most of the horses having had sufficient racing this week. R. Brough was out with The Lamb, Blue Peter and Royal Acre, doing halfpace work. Mon Desir and Captain Gazeley ware a 7 iSo- exercised. Mr Brough’s team for New Plymouth will comprise/ Skypoint, The Lamb, Royal Acre and probably Blue Peter. J. Brown sent Silvermine five furlongs in 1.2-4, the. Taranaki Stakes candidate doing it nicely. Orazono did .steady exercise. Passin’ Through and Gold Peak ran along five furlongs in lmin. 6sec. Martin Conway worked San Fera and Lady Acre half-pace work. This pair will represent his. istahle. 0. Cox gave Lady Desmond, Reremoana and Lady Cavendish light tasks, Rercmoami. sprinting three furlongs at the finish of his work. J. Fryer’s team for New Plymouth consist of Eka, Paitonu, Tip Tree, llehutai and Men dip. Dick Morrison rode his first race, on Rehutai in the hurdles last Thursday and .shaped well, having the grey mare well placed throughout. Dick will have more confidence next time. C. Jackson takes only Benzora. to New Plymouth. Lady Cavendish will not contest the Taranaki Stakes next Thursday. Local trainers successful at the recent Hawera meeting were J. Fryer, first and second with Eka, and third with Tip Tree and Rehutai; J. Brown, first and second with Qrazone; O. Cox, first with Acred, second with Lady Desmond, second and third with Helen; C. Jackson first with Benzora; E. Ingram first with Take Take; E. Murtagh, second with Bonogne : J. Thacker, two thirds with Erin-go-Bragh; W. Pine, third with Partaga; and R. Brough third with The Lamb —accounting for about £IOOO stakes money. Alan McCormac rode three winners— Whenuanui twice and Orazone. Tommy Tito scored on Eka.
