KING AND QUEEN
MAY VISIT CANADA. FOR DIAMOND JUBILEE. OF DOMINION’S INAUGURATION. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 9.40 a.m. to-day. OTTAWA, Feb. 4. Speaking at Toronto, the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. Mackenzie King) stated to-day that the King and Queen were earnestly considering the possibility of visiting Canada in July in order to attend the diamond iubilee of the Confederation, to he held at Ottawa. Hie Dominion of Canada was constituted under the provisions of the British North America Act, which came into force on July 1, 1867.
