A Press Association message from Rotorua to-day states that Sir Henry Ire ft’s condition is very critical. A London cable' message stated that the Tamaroa. carries 2(35 assisted immigrants to New Zealand, including 40 domestics. Mr Claude Sander, who is appearing at, the Hawera, Opera House in conjunction with Woe- Jackie Harris, is the son of Mrs G. Sander, nee Miss Ottilie Krause, who resided at Patea some years ago. In town for a few hours en route to flic boxing tournament to-night at New Plymouth was Mr G. ,P. Aldridge, of Wellington, -secretary of the New Zealand Association and organising secretary of 'the Olympic Games committee. Mr Aldridge reports that the Dominion Council is anxious that flic Boxing Association in /Hawera should ho revived. He will be in Hawera again next week and will endeavour to stimulate interest in this direction.
