INVESTIGATION TO BE MADE.
BY OFFICIAL TRIBUNAL. TRADE ASSOCIATION’S AFFAIRS. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. The Hon A. D. McLeod, Minister of Industries and Commerce, to-day stated that a tribunal would be set up under Section 13 of the Board., oi Trade Act to enquire into the proposed operations of the Proprietary Articles Trade Association. A full opportunity for all evidence, for and against the Association, would be given, and the following would be appointed to take evidence:- Messrs. W. B Montgomery. ex-Comptroller or Customs; W. B. Hayward, manufacturer, of Dunedin ; M. J. Reardon, exworkers’ representative on the Arbitration Court, and''.!. AY. Collins, Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce. Comprehensive powers of investigation have been conferred' on the tribunal, which will commence its sittings probably on February 14 at AVedington, 'and later will visit other places.
