THE LUCK OF THE GAME.
In the annual cricket match between Town and Country at Wellington, B. J. Kortlang scored 149 not out in the first innings, was undefeated in the second, also scoring 185, making his total for the match 334 without losing his wicket. Kortlang in the match with Otago, when runs meant much more to the team, had a couple of ”cluck's eggs.”
