PROPOSAL OF AMALGAMATION. TARANAKI SOCIETIES DISCUSS IT. A meeting of delegates from the acclimatisation societies of the province —llawera, Stratford and Taranaki — was held at Stratford on Thursday evening. Messrs. B. C. Bennett, It. A. Spragg, R. A. Graham represented the Ilawera Society. The meeting had been arranged with a view to discussing the question of amalgamation of the three societies and the establishment of one hatchery and game farm. After considerable discussion a rcsoluction to th*e effect that the meeting take place and that a central hatchery and game farm.
