Following a motor car accident, two Maoris, Rewi Holiipa and Jimmy Whakaran, purloined the tyres, valued at £ls. from the wheels. In the court this morning each offender was fined £5. John Sullivan, charged with the murder of Jeremiah "Williams near Opotiki on December 1, was further remanded to appear on Thursday.
