Two Dunedin men, Adam Fairholm Scott, and Noil Fairholm Scott, are interested in the claim of their maternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Fairholm of Lannochside. Scotland, to a fortune which is said to include £1,000,001), the Marquisate of Lauriston. a castle overlooking the Firth of Forth, a breWerv and distillery in Edinburgh, coal mine property in Lancashire, Fifeshire and Northern Ireland. Recent mails) lhave (brought news of the claiming of this wealth by their grandmother. It is stated that she lias conclusive proofs of direct descent from the family originally holding the title and money, namely, the Laws of Cramond Bridge. Lauriston, Edinburgh, but till now had not known that the fortune was lying unclaimed. |'ii an interview Adam Scott stated that he expected to be soon recalled to Scotland. Me produced a letter from his mother with an interview in a Glasgow newspaper giving particulars of the fortune,, which apparently in - dudes £35,00U 'amassed by an earlier descendant in Australia. Adam Scott arrived in Dunedin in 1922 and his brother a year ago.
