PREPARING THE, ROLLS. Upon the re-opening of the Borough Council offices next week a commencement will be made with the preparation of the rolls for the election of mayor and councillors on April 27. The main roll.will close oil January 31. Those who are unable to get their names on the main roll will stil have time to be included on the supplementary list. Perqualified to vote may inspect the municipal roll at the borough offices. At every election the returning officer and his assistants are confronted with people who fail to appreciate the difference between the register for municipal and the register for parliamentary elections. Many people protest at the borough elections that they should be able to exercise their vote for the borough offices because they exercised their vote the previous year; but it is usually found upon inquiry that it was election of members for the district that thev referred to. Cultivation of public Intele.st on this matter may be necessary.
