OLD MAN FOUND DEAD, (HY TJSLKCJKAI’H TltliSS ASSOCI AXIOM .) GISBORNE, Dec. 29. An old man named James Roy Curtis, who was living alone in a hut at Ngatapa, had not ken seen for several days. A visit was paid to liis hut today, and Curtis was found dead in his bunk. WATERSIDES, ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL. AUCKLAND, Dee. 29. Reported to have been severely assaulted on Queen’s Wharf this evening, Harold Alexander McNeil, a waterside worker, was admitted to hospital suffering from concussion of the brain. Two ship’s firemen have been arrested in connection with the matter.
