SUPPLY OF PETROL.
BIG SCHEME FOR FRANCE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPY EIGHT NEW YORK, Dec. 26. The Westinghouse Electrical International Company lias announced that French financiers are planning to erect in Texas City, Texas, a great petrol production plant., which is expected to solve France’s fuel problem, improve her shipping, and partially eliminate France’s dependence upon coal. The plant will have a capacity of 2000 barrels daily. It is understood that the French Government will waive the import tax on this petrol, which will be carried in a fleet of tankers. These will carry freight on the return trips.
