Following an inquiry, the judicial committee reversed the positions of the first two horses, awarding Nine o’ Spades the race on account of interference by- Royal Damon, whose rider (S. It was an ideal day for the continuation! of the iVianawatu Racing Uuib's meeting to-djay, 'the track being in first-class order, and the attendance good. For .serious interference at the turn in the concluding event the rider <>i Royal Damon, S. Anderson, was suspended for one month. Nine of Spades was placed first, and Royal Damon second. Nino oi Spades was purchased just prior to the rare tor Mr. I). O'. Rutherford. The Kelvin Handicap saw Lady-killer a good favourite, with inoe at a long price. Lady-killer was, in front at the end of a, furlong, from Hymil, General Wai, Conviction and Inoe, with Panart and Assurance last. Lady killer was beaten at the turn, and inoe shot out to win by a length. There was a good struggle for second, with heads between Conviction, Panart, General Wai, and Catcall. Lady-killer was a. good thing beaten by bad riding. Inoe won well, but the group which finished just behind him all did well. Pouri, No Favours, and Brigadier Bill carried the bulk of the money in the Highweight Handicap. Capitulation took charge at the end of half a mile from No Favours, Glenidle, Hottana., Little River, and Vexatious. No Favours drifted right back, and at the home turn Capitulation was well clear of Sottana. Little River, Brigadier Bill, and Pouri. the last named haying come from a long way back. Pouri heat all the others, but Capitulation, who won bv five lengths. Ri'gndior Bill was half a. length away third, and Sottana. right up fourth, then came Asleep. Glenidle, and Little River. Capitulation won easily, but Pouri was. badlyhandled. Rripudier Bill and Sottana ran fair races. Te Koroke wound up a slightly better favourite than Helen for the Highden Handicap. Rapier was a good lavourite for the President’s Hanuioap, with Hynanna and Euphonium well supported. Euphonium led out, and the order of the leaders for a mile was: Penman, Rapier, Kilimss, Killaire, Hynanna, Novar and fresco. Euphonium, who. was in trouble early, put m ta good run across the top, and Hynanna ran past the leaders .at the turn. Euphonium went in pursuit, but tailed to reach ilynanna by three lengths. Rapier, tuiishiug well, was half a length away third, with Penman right up fourth, and Fresco and Merry Day next. Ityrianna won easily, but Euphonium was unlucky. Fresco looks likely to un[b'ove. Rapier had every chance, and was beaten on ills merits. Reremoana was at a. reasonable price iu the Palmerston North Stakes. Tukta. and Peneus led Glentruin and Reremoaiia to the turn. Glentruin was m trout as they turned for home, but Reremoiana was in front half way down the straight, and won easily by two lengths from Glentruin, who beat Peneus by two lengths, Vith Tukia three lengths away. Reremoana is back to his best, and Glentruin is in something like her best form. Horomea. Outfit and Elysianor parried the bulk of the money in the Terrace Handicap. Royal Lind, Rising Star, Bonny Louisa, Horomea, Elysaaig or and Archon were the leaders to the turn, where Ouiit made a belated appearance. Horomea and Rising Star had a great battle to the post, with Outfit catching them at every stride. At the end Horomea. beat Rising Star by a short head,, with Outfit a head away third. Archon was fourth. Wild-, erness and Elysianor were next. Rising Star .should have won, and Outfitwas unlucky. Polar was a good favourite, for the Kimitangi Handicap, but, (after leading Bennanee, Alyson, and Allmarimba, with the others righs up. at the turn, he had had enough, and Allmarimba, came away to. win by half a length from Modern, who. beat Bennanee for second place by three lengths. Polar was fourth, and Santonio. next. Allmarimba won well .and Modem also ran a solid race. Bennanee was rather disappointing. Orchid was a decided favourite for the Awapuni Handicap, and with Nine of Spades he led to the turn from. Royal Damon, Mireusonta. Royal Damon interferred seriously with Orchid at the turn, Orchid going right back. Royal Damon went on ,and won by half a length from Nine of Spades, who beat Black Mint by half a length. Lipsol, Gold Box and Anthonie were next.

RACING AT DUNEDIN. CONCLUDING DAY’S RESULTS. DUNEDIN, Dec. 28. The Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting concluded to-day, rain falling during the last two races. The totalisator handed £20,362 for the day, compared with £29.275 10s for the second day of the Exhibition meeting last year. The total for the meeting is £45,188 10s, against £64,457 10s last year. The totalisator handled £8334, as against £7787 last year, and a total of £17,931 for the meeting, last year’s total being £16,295, an increase of £1636 being shown tliis year.
