MAN FOUND FATALLY HURT. AN ALLEGATION OF MURDER. (by TELEGRAPH CRESS ASSOCIATION.) GISBORNE, Dec. 28. Shortly before seven o ’clock this evening a middle-aged man named Robert Thelwall was admitted to Cook Hospital suffering from concussion. He died an hour later. The injury was the result of a fall on the footpath outside the Record Reign Hotel. There are conflicting stories as to how the mishap occurred, and the police are making enquiries. GISBORNE, Dec. 29. Arising out of the above ease, Garnet Wolseley McMinn, a freezing works employee, has been arrested on a charge of murder. It is alleged that the deceased was struck by McMinn.
