ALCOHOLIC POISONING.

MEDICAL MAN’S COMMENT. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIG iIT NEW YORK, Dec. 27. Commenting on the deaths from alcoholic poisoning during the Christmas holidays, Dr. Charles Norris, chief medical examiner at the Brooklyn hospital, charged the Government with moral responsibility, because the liquor was purposely poisoned to render it impossible to drink, while the Government, at the same time, knew that the bootleggers constantly distilled the poison out of it. He added; “Bootleggers are rushed to death and do not give sufficient time for the poison to distil out. The Government well, knows that it- is not stopping drinking by placing poison in alcohol.”
