REVOLUTIONARY ACTIVITY.
MR. COOK’S PROMISE TO SOVIET. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Dee. 27. Advices from Moscow via Riga state that Mr. A. J. Cook, secretary of the British Miners’ Federation, has sent a letter thanking the Soviet bodies and promising greater revolutionary activity in Britain. He intends to visit Russia again in May. The letter adds: “It is necessary to employ Russian methods to win. We must organise trade union® on a class war basis, discarding leaders of the MacDonald and Thomas type, who believe in compromise with the capitalists.” '
