GOOD FOR THE_ WHOLE FAMILY. The fame of uhamberlain’s Cough Remedy is world wide. It is good for the deep-seated cough of an adult or the croup' of children. The same bottle serves the whole family. It is mothers of young children that most appreciate Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy, and it is not easy to persuade them to use any other cough medicine after having seen how prompt and effectual it is, and that it is pleasant and safe to take. Sold everywhere.—Advt. The Hawera Salvation Army Sunday school picnic was held at Te Ngutu Park yesterday. The scholars left town in motors at 9 a.in., returning at 6.30 p.m. The party entertained the inmates of the Hawera Old People’s Home. A very pleasing day was spent. Each child received a gift. One of the oldest inmates of the home'returned thanks to the Army for its hospitality. The caretaker of the park, was thanked for the assistance he gave in making the picnic a success. • - The state Of the town over the holidays from a police official point of vjew was very good, said Sergeant Henry this morning, in reply to an inquiry from a Star reporter. He added that one person was apprehended for drunkenness on Sunday, the only time but once this had happened in Hawera during his seven and a-half years in the district. It was a very quiet time, which was very creditable to the community.
