The Legislative Council rejected the now Workers’ Compensation Bill, which provided that everyone in receipt of wages or a salary up to £lO per week should come within the scope of the Bill.

The Council also reduced the maximum weekly payment under the old Act, from £3 to £2 15s, and eliminated the section providing for chidren’s allowances.
