IN THE GRASS.
When 1 lie among the grass . 1 watch the 'ittle people pass, In and out among the blades, TTp and down the cool green glades. Hero are ants and creepy things, And bettles. too. with shiny wings. They run about and seem to be Just ag busy as can be. Is this to them a trackless wild Where thev have lost their wife and child ? is it a wilderness where they Have Tea. 1,1 y lost themselves to-day ? " They run about distractedly, The little creepy things I see. They must have very tired feet. 1 hope they have enough to eat. What is the hurry all about. Is each afraid that lie will be Away too long and, late for tea ? I’m sure that every beetle feels He reallv should he home for meats. Perhaps he knows the wife will scold. And say. well you must eat it cold. They run so fast on tiny feet They’ve worn a path just .'ike a street.
