THE FAIRY’S GOWN.

She took some yards of moonbeams, Such flimsy fairy .stuff, She sewed the seam® with pine-needles And edged it with cloud-fluff.

She traced a shadow pattern, That the moon made, in the leaves, She beaded it with dewdrops, And thread the spider weaves.

The clouds lent her some ribbons To wear in her bright hair — The pink and gold-shot ribbons That tliov kept for evening wear. Pink and gold her toi’ette was, Petal-pink and moonlight shade, And for epnnglos she had clippings From the stars just newly made. —Joan Scarlett. (In tlie Sydnev Morning Herald.)
