GIFT TO MARIST BROTHERS. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 15. At the conclusion of the ceremonies marking the golden jubilee of the Marist Brothers’ work in New Zealand, the Brothers were, at the Town Hall last night, the recipients of a gift of £IOOO from friends in Wellington.. TAKAPUNA MOTOR-BUSES. AUCKLAND, Dee. 15. The judgment of Mr Jus toe Adams, deolarug that two .separate loenses are required for the motor-bus service operated by Alfred Hendry Smith between Devonport and Takapuna, has not been accepted as final and the ’buses continued running yesterday. The controversy will now be referred to the Appeal Court.
