TESTS FOR MOTORISTS.
HOW IT IS DONE IN GERMANY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 12.15 p.m. to-day. BERLIN, Dec. 12. The University of Leipzig has sanctioned the award of motoring degrees. Candidates are subjected to stiff scientific tests, operating motor wheel controls on a screen before which a cinema projects a breathless series of imminent crashes and fatalities. The manipulation of the controls, also the skill, quickness and calmness, or the reverse of the driver, are accurately registered on recording machines. —Sydney Sun Cable.
