ANNUAL DINNER. Tii© annual dinner of the Hiawera Central lied T'rianglo club was lieid on Friday evening, wiien a large attendance of about 70 members land ladies,'partook of the generous repast provided on the neatly decorated tables. The president, Mr. W. M. Thomson, presided. Alter the loyal toast, proposed by Air. L. Billows bad been duly honoured, the following short list was given : “The Club,” Mr. S. Lay—Mr. C. Busing; “Kindred Clubs,” Air. L. Carroll —Mr. S. Shore** '-The .Ladies,” Air. W. Mundy—Miss I. Beamish. Opportunity was taken for the presentation of medals won by individual chib members during the past footba.il season. 'The secretary of the .Hawera Football Club (Air. R-. S. Sage) made the presentations as follows : Best all round third grade player, EL Nolan: best fourth grade back, Al. Foster; best fourth, grade forward, A. Harrison. During the evening musical and elocutionary items were given as follows : Cornet solo, Mr. N. Wills (accompanied by Miss M. Brough); recitations, Aliss L. Bullock and Air. G. Busing. After the dinner, the hall was cleared and a dance was held, wood music being supplied by the newly formed dub orchestra..
