HAWERA JERSEY CATTLE CLUB
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS. A meeting of the executive committee- of the Hawera Jersey Cattle Club was held in the A. and P. Buildings on 'Saturday. There were present : Mr. E. Hoskiii (chair), Messrs C. IT. Washer. J. S. T. Short, and C. Brock. An apology for absence was received from Mr. .1. Pettigrew. The following new members were elected: G. Handley (Wanganui), S. C. Mcßae (Patea), O. Me A loon (Stratford), D. Yandle (Stratford), and John Robb (Westmere). The resignation of Mr. H F. Wreri, ToVaorn, was accepted. Tt was unanimously agreed to hold a Jersey show in March. This fixture is to take the place of the annual demonstration, with a view to creating interest amongst the younger breeders, novice classes to be a strong feature. The date- will be fixed and the schedule drawn no at the next meeting. It was resolved that the third C.O.P. Stakes competition be held under conditions set o’>t by tT>e council of the New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Association A subsidy of 10s in the £1 >id to P'O wi'l he paid by the- association. The schedule for the T 927 show •vac revised, several alterations being and three new classes added. Tt was decided to set no an inspection committee to inspect all stock offered for sale under the auspices of the chili.
