Louglilin have been continued in the hope of bringing about a reconciliation within the Labour Party. Although no finality was reached, many Labour official** are still confident that a method will be found for averting a general election. It iis understood that an informal discussion took place between Messrs Goodin and Gillies and three members of the Federal executive of the Australian Labour Party. The breakaways -demand as a basks lor a. -settlement the withdrawal of the dictatorship the permanent scrapping of Bed rules, and the -removal of Mr. Willis, vicepresident of the Executive Council, and his secretary. Mr. Voight, from the scene of political activities.
