The Daily News states that Japan’s submarine,’ the Kobe, which was launched o*i November S, is second only in the matter of «• ize to Britain’s largest type, and is the swiftest in the world, haviujj, a speed of 25 knots an hour, and a.cruising radius of 12.000 miles, equal to a return voyage across the Pacific. The vessel is armed with two 4.7 in gone, and carries a smal’ seaplane. Japan lias 25 mote large submarines building, or ordered, making 75 effective submarines when the present programme is completed. She already possesses more of a large and last, type than does Britain or America.
