FLYING TO WASHINGTON.

SIR ALAN AND LADY COBH AM. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT Deceived 10.10 a.m. to-day. NEW YORK. Dec. 2. Sir Alan Oobham and Lady Oobham have departed by a moth aeroplane for Washington. An earlier message stated that Sir Alan and Lady Oobham would fly to Washington in their moth ’plane. They will be presented to President Coolidge by British Embassy officials. *At a luncheon of the Advertising Club, Sir Alan Oobham, the guest of honour, said: “We’ve got to knock the ‘stunt’ out of flying. Flying wants to be utilised where necessary, not where other forms, of transportation are more practicable. ’Planes similar to‘ the Moth may be built for army, navy and messenger, work.”
